CSNF Welcomes Dr. Jeffrey M. Harris, Dr. Augusto E. Villegas
Cancer Specialists of North Florida (CSNF) continues to grow and expand its services with the addition of Dr. Jeffrey M. Harris and Dr. Augusto E. Villegas. Drs. Harris and Villegas are both board certified in medical oncology.
Dr. Harris will see patients at CSNF Baptist South (14546 St. Augustine Road, Building I, Suite 317, Jacksonville). Dr. Villegas will see patients at CSNF Fleming Island (1715 Eagle Harbor Parkway, Suite C, Fleming Island).
“We are excited to have Dr. Harris and Dr. Villegas at CSNF,” said CEO, Bob Phelan. “Their presence at the Baptist South and Fleming Island offices will help us expand our services to patients in greater Jacksonville and continue our mission to provide state-of-the-art cancer care to patients close to their homes.”
Dr. Harris anticipates getting to know patients personally in addition to learning about their medical condition. “I proceed with a thorough history to help establish a personal relationship,” he said.
Prior to joining Cancer Specialists of North Florida in 2012, Dr. Harris practiced at Regional Consultants in Hematology and Oncology in Jacksonville. He received his medical degree from University of South Alabama College of Medicine in Mobile. Dr. Harris completed his internship, residency and a fellowship in Medical Oncology at the University of Florida Health Science Center in Jacksonville.
Dr. Villegas looks forward to serving more patients in the community. “I’m proud to be a part of such a highly respected practice as CSNF,” he said.
Before joining Cancer Specialists of North Florida in 2012, Dr. Villegas practiced at Regional Consultants in Hematology and Oncology in Jacksonville. He received his medical degree from Ponce School of Medicine in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the Damas Hospital Internal Medicine Residency Program in Ponce, Puerto Rico where he was chief medical resident. Dr. Villegas completed a fellowship in medical oncology at the University of Florida Health Science Center in Jacksonville where he served on the Institutional Medical Ethics Committee.
