Two Oncologists Now Practice in New Building To Provide Both Convenience and Quality Care
Cancer Specialists of North Florida, Jacksonville’s largest cancer practice, is now serving the Fleming Island area of greater Jacksonville with two oncologists practicing in a new state-of-the-art facility.
Drs. Thomas A. Marsland and Mehdi M. Moezi see patients at the office located off Eagle Harbor Parkway in the expanding community of Fleming Island, Florida. The address is 1715 Eagle Harbor Parkway, Suite C, Orange Park, FL 30032. The office number is 904-264-6201.
“Our Fleming Island office allows us to provide our patients with the same quality care that they receive at all of our cancer specialists locations in a new facility that is convenient to their homes,” Dr. Moezi said.
Dr. Marsland added that the building offers oncology and hematology consultation, outpatient chemotherapy, laboratory services, mental health services, genetic counseling, retail pharmacy services, PET/CT scans and revolutionary diagnostic tools such as CellSearch. In addition, patients have access to promising new therapies through enrollment in clinical trials for many different malignant diseases.
Dr. Moezi is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in medical oncology, hematology, and internal medicine. He earned his medical degree at the University of Tehran School of Medicine in Tehran, Iran. He completed his internship and residency at Tehran University Hospitals plus an internal medicine residency at the Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. He completed a fellowship in hematology/oncology at State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY.
Dr. Marsland is board certified in both medical oncology and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He earned his medical degree at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA, and completed his internship and residency at Temple University Hospital. He completed fellowships in hematology and oncology at Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston, MA, and at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester, MA.
Dr. Marsland has held several leadership and board positions with the American Cancer Society, American Society of Clinical Oncology, Association of Community Cancer Centers, and the Florida Society of Clinical Oncology. In addition to these leadership roles, Dr. Marsland has participated in numerous clinical trials and helped established the Orange Park division of Cancer Specialists of North Florida. He currently sits on the board of Cancer Specialists of North Florida and Integrated Community Oncology Network.
